The fans of Atletico, or the mattresses as they are called because of the colours of their uniform, consider this place a temple. For them it is more than a collection of objects. It´s almost a relic they must venerate. This museum is one of the most interesting places to visit in the capital of Spain.

This museum is situated inside the stadium Vicente Calderon and it is considered one of the most important football museums in the world because of the value of the objects kept in it.El Museo del Atlético de Madrid & Colección Pablo Ornaque propone un completo recorrido por la historia del club rojiblanco desde su creación como entidad deportiva el 26 de abril de 1903, curiosamente por la afición desmedida por el balón de un grupo de estudiantes vascos.

The Atletico de Madrid’s Museum and the Collection Pablo Ornaque invites the visitor to find out about the history of this football club, from its birth on 26th April 1903 thanks to the great love of football of a group of Basque students.

The museum is divided in different rooms and sections, one of the most spectacular areas is the 100 years history of  T-shirts of the Atletico team, with the uniforms used by the players from the beginning of the 20th century up to the present.

But the most spectacular area without a doubt, the one that visitors love the most is the trophy room, with cups from the International Cup of Clubs, one European super-cup, a European Cub a UEFA European League, nine Leagues and nine King’s Cups.
