Visita a las ciudades cercanas a Madrid
Madrid is the name of the capital of Spain, but it is also the name of the region of which Madrid is also the main city. All around the city proper there are smaller towns or villages, that have also exciting night lives as well as being interesting on their own right.
For instance, Getafe is one of these small towns. An old village away from the main city, nowadays Getafe has become almost absorbed into the big mass that is Madrid. Although it has managed to maintain its own identity. Getafe is a young town, inhabited by young families and students who have turned the centre of the town in one of the main going out areas in the region. Every weekend many young and not so young people from Madrid, take the train from Atocha to get to Getafe to enjoy a night out.
Alcala de Henares, another town to the south of Madrid, is also connected to the centre thanks to the local train network. You can get there from Atocha and enjoy the restaurants and bars in the evening, or just simply stroll around the streets during the day and drop around Cervantes Museum and visit the house where the great Spanish writer lived.
Hotel Puerta de Toledo is in an ideal location to access quickly and easily the Atocha Renfe station, from where you can travel to many of the little towns around Madrid.
